Thanks to my trail cameras I have discovered that badgers are visiting the woods. So far the photos are not great because their visits have been nocturnal. Night photos are not the best but you can see that these are badgers and not foxes or anything else.
Hopefully as the days get longer and the badgers get more hungry they will be out and about in daylight hours. Then I might get some better photos.
Still the commonest animals appearing on the cameras are rabbits and foxes, however by far the greatest number of photos show absolutely nothing…. ? Presumably what has triggered the camera is very small, ie mice and voles or maybe small birds. I am picking up a few dogs and humans now but not many.
